Quick guide

How this board works

Collections

Use the tabs to switch between shared ideas, places, guides, saved links, books, questions, goals, and Todoist. Past trips and Job Alerts stay under More so they stay available without owning the main board.

Archived trips

Use More to revisit Virginia / NC Trip 2026. The trip cards, destinations, days, itinerary, ratings, and notes are preserved, but the archived trip stays out of Home unless you focus it directly.

Profile

Choose Robert or Emily before rating anything. For ideas, links, and books, 1 means low interest and 5 means high interest. For questions, 1 means low priority and 5 means high priority.

Summary

The three boxes at the top change with the tab. They show the best item, what still needs attention, and what is already scheduled, saved, ready, or in progress.

Emily Home

Emily Home is the first-stop page. It shows a small number of items for Emily and shared work by default. Pinned guides appear separately under Quick reference. Use For, Focus, Show, Start, source toggles, and Robert support to decide what appears.

Home actions

View details opens everything saved on a card. Decide next step opens Review for that card. Make this Start here pins a card when Start is set to Pinned.

Open loops

An open loop is something unfinished. It may need a decision, answer, read, discussion, follow-up, rating, day, time, or tiny next step. Finished, answered, done, parked, passed, and expired items leave Emily Home.

Tabs under More

Some tabs stay out of the way until you need them. Use More when you want to open one. Archived trips preserve past planning, and Job Alerts still keeps Robert's Saved, Follow up, Applied, and Pass feedback.

Tiny steps

A tiny step is one small next action, like asking on a walk, choosing a chapter, or checking one link. Add it in Review or card details so the next move is easy to find later.

Staying unstuck

The board helps by making reminders visible, showing fewer choices, and asking for one tiny next step. Goals can be split into checkable steps. Emily Home gently warns when too many things are active at once.

Smart but Scattered support

This board uses Smart but Scattered-style support for executive skills. It keeps important things visible, limits choices, gives one Start here item, turns big things into tiny steps, and pairs steps with a cue or best moment.

Review

Review shows one card at a time. Pick a status, write a tiny next step, and add the best time or place to talk about it. Use Review when the full board feels like too much.

Quick capture

Use Quick capture to quickly add a place, question, book, link, goal, or idea. A URL captured while Places is open stays in Places. Instagram and map links captured from Emily Home also go to Places; other URLs go to Shared Articles.

Cards

Each card has quick labels. The top label usually shows score, priority, New, or job match. The lower label shows the day or current status. Click a card for links, notes, tiny steps, timing, progress, and other details. Open any card to delete it.

Board groups

Archived trip boards group cards by activity type, such as Food, Outdoors, Adventure, Nightlife, Museums, History, Events, Views, and Neighborhoods. Click a group heading to hide or show that group.

Search and filters

Search looks through titles, notes, tags, guide instructions and links, jobs, books, questions, and trip destinations. Category narrows the current tab. Destination and Day appear only on trip boards. In Job Alerts, Focus can show robotics/autonomy, AI/data, evidence, research operations, clinical research, Finance / FP&A, Health-Tech / AI operations, or Solutions Consulting roles; turn on Show inactive jobs to see passed or expired jobs.

Sort

Sort changes the order of the list. Use priority, interest, or best match to see stronger items first. Job Alerts can also sort by highest listed pay. Use needs ranking or needs priority to find items that still need a score. Use status, day, or newest when organizing.

Views

Board is for browsing cards. Review shows one actionable card at a time. Itinerary is for day planning. Compare shows ratings or reference details side by side. Use Edit or Open in Compare to open the card details. Places, Guides, Books, Questions, Goals, Shared Articles, Things To Do, and Job Alerts keep their own status or category groups.

Itinerary

Itinerary groups trip cards by Destination, then shows each day with Morning, Afternoon, and Evening slots. An Available slot means that part of the day is still open. Cards without a specific day stay in Backup.

Trip destinations

Use Destination on archived trip cards for each trip leg: Richmond, Harrisonburg, New Bern, Outer Banks, or Travel / Logistics. For a future trip, create a new trip collection rather than reusing the archived 2026 trip.

Books

Use Books as the shared reading list. Add the author, progress, link, notes, tiny next step, and a discussion question. Rate books for interest, then use reading status to choose what to read or discuss next.

Questions

Use Questions for prompts from shared notes or book conversations. Paste one question per line. Add a topic, sensitivity, best moment, context, next step, or tags when helpful. Priority helps choose the next question without deleting the others.

Goals

Use Goals for short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals. Open a goal to edit the wording, horizon, owner, target or review date, why it matters, what done looks like, support request, tiny next step, and checkable steps. You can paste steps from another chat.

Places

Use Places as the evergreen list of somewhere you may want to visit together. Save the source, location, estimated total for two, visit length, best time or availability, research notes, and a tiny next step. Rate places separately, use Both rated 3+ to find mutual options, and compare the decision details side by side.

Planning a place

Move a place through Saved, Researching, Ready to decide, Planned, Visited, or Parked. Ready to decide is a deliberate choice after enough research. Add a planned date only when a visit is actually scheduled. Emily Home can show one Ready to decide place without turning the whole backlog into a task list.

Saved place links

The board checks Places and Shared Articles for the same normalized source URL before saving another copy. Open a destination in Shared Articles and use Move to Places to keep its ratings, notes, source, and tiny next step.

Guides

Use Guides for instructions and reference information you want to find again. Add the audience, full instructions, useful links, tags, status, and last-reviewed date. Pin an important guide to Emily Home for quick access.

Todoist

Use Todoist to pull active tasks from the selected profile's Todoist account. Robert and Emily use separate server-side tokens. Pulled tasks show owner, due status, due date, labels, and last synced time.

Job alerts

Use More, then Job Alerts, to review Robert's matches when needed. They stay off Emily Home unless you choose Job Alerts in Focus. The search covers Finance / FP&A, Health-Tech / AI operations, Solutions Consulting, AI/data, evidence, research operations, clinical research, and robotics/autonomy bridge roles. Cards show readiness from Apply now through Stretch, listed pay when available, the recommended resume, posting timing, and short fit reasons.

Preparation

Open any job, confirm the captured posting, then use Analyze fit or Refresh analysis for an evidence-backed requirement comparison and gap-closing plan. Career profile holds qualifications supported by Robert's resume, LinkedIn profile, or both, plus the hours, budget, and time horizon the plan must respect. An accepted plan can become one Goal with checkable steps.

Improving matches

For Job Alerts, Saved, Follow up, and Applied show which jobs look useful for Robert. Pass reason tells future searches what to avoid, such as banking or credit mismatches, engineering-heavy roles, jobs below the pay floor, or roles outside the current lanes. Ask Emily only when her input would help.

Add or paste

The add button changes by tab: Add idea, Add place, Add guide, Add link, Add book, Add question, or Add goal. Use the form for one item, or paste rough notes with labels where available. Goals can include a Steps list copied from another chat.

Privacy

The app is password protected and the repo is private. Robert and Emily are shared profile choices, not separate private accounts. Put private questions, notes, and guides in the deployed board, not in seed data, docs, or git history. Do not store passwords, recovery codes, or API tokens in guides.

Export and import

Export saves a backup file. Import replaces the current board with a backup file. Export first if you might want to undo an import later.
